    Maple Date Bars

Guess what? This weekend is my birthday!! I am going to be 29 years old. I can hardly even believe it! Almost 30. And you know what? That is okay. I am alright with getting older. I don’t see getting older as a bad thing. I like to look back into my years and see what I have accomplished and what I have learned. Since I am almost 30 I have looked back over the past 9 years. I have had some MAJOR stuff happen. My 20s: I graduated from one of the best public colleges, Penn State University and earned a degree from the Smeal College of Business, which…

    Cinnamon Streusel Oat Scones

Is it just me or is Christmas coming WAY too fast this year? I feel like it was just Thanksgiving and now Christmas is less than 2 weeks away! How does this happen? I am normally SO on top of my Christmas shopping. I normally have all my gifts wrapped and under the tree this year. I still have things that are shipping to me right now! Btdubs, I heart Amazon. They make shopping so easy…all I have to do is press the buy button and BOOM! It is there in 2 days. Love it! Anyways, I just feel rather unprepared this year for the holiday season and I am…

    Quiche Bites

Hello Hello! Happy Thursday! This week has FLOWN by, actually…this entire month has flown by. I have been absent a lot of the month due to all the events that have been happening. This past weekend Patrick and I went to NYC to get our engagement pictures taken by my friend Kate Neal. Follow her on Facebook or Instagram. She is amazing! We had such a nice time,  she and John (her hubby) made us feel SO at ease. She showed us a few of the shots while we were taking them, but she did send us one that I wanted to share with you all. How cute is that?!…

    Baked Eggs

Well hello strangers!! I have been SO busy this month, my poor blog has gotten ignored. I have been keeping up with all of you though. So many delicious recipes this month from everything, bravo! The month of August has been TONS of traveling for me. Both work and pleasure. At the beginning of the month Patrick and I went to San Diego to attend his cousins wedding, which was so much fun. We were able to hang out in the San Diego and then La Jolla. It was a much needed break from working and we got to do so many fun things. We went to the San Diego…

    Blueberry Rolls

‘Tis the season for blueberries! Ah yes, b.e.a.utiful blueberries. I am lucky that I never have to purchase blueberries because my mom has about 20 blueberry bushes. Which means that if I want blueberries, there are most likely 14 bags of them in the freezer, some on the bushes, or some on the counter. Spoiled. I know. There are just so many things to do with blueberries though. Shakes, smoothies, muffins, scones, breads, salads, with meats, cakes, ice creams, or just as snacks you pop in your mouth.   Blueberry muffins have to be one of my favorite things in the entire world. I remember coming home to the smell…

    Blue Cornmeal Waffles

Happy hump day! First off, I wanted to say to anyone who had someone at the Boston Marathon that was involved in the truly horrible acts that occurred, you are in my prayers. I won’t go on a long preach sesh about how terrible it was, even though it was…just know that you have my thoughts and prayers with you. I was very lucky that all my friends that were there are safe ♥ Anyways, so how is your Wednesday going? Mine started off with a workout and then off to a lovely day of work and will conclude with some laziness on the couch this evening. Living the dream…

    Bittersweet Chocolate Scones

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you all are having a lovely Valentine’s day! Filled with lots of love, flowers and CHOCOLATE! 😉 I must admit that I am not much of a Valentine’s day kind of girl. With me, I would much rather someone do something for me just because and not because you are “supposed” to on Valentine”s day. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is adorable when people end up doing things creative and unique for one another. For me Valentine’s day is always right around the beginning of Lent. Around this time, I spend a couple days thinking about what it is that I should be…

    Maple Glazed Cinnamon Rolls

Are there certain things that your family only have around the holidays? Ever since I can remember, there would be piping hot cinnamon rolls waking me up on Christmas Morning. That smell of a fresh pastry right out of the oven sure does know how to get me out of bed. It is a tradition that my family has had ever since I can remember. Even now that I am in my late twenties, there is just nothing like that smell when you wake up on Christmas morning at your folks house, or when you walk in the door from your own home and you smell those amazing rolls. Yummm….my…

    Quinoa Flakes

I have been totally neglecting my blog here. It is terrible and I owe an apology to RavieNomNoms. My sincerest of apologies, dear friend! My life has been hectic to say the least in the past month and I just doesn’t seem to be letting up AT ALL. Work has been…well to put it lightly. AWFUL! SAP is literally making me want to change my career path at the moment. I am so stressed at work all the time which just makes for some really really long days. I am sure the company will get through it, but right now…it is just frustrating. The new house, which I fall in…

    Banana Spice Muffins

Man, what a tornado these past few weeks have been. Most of you know that Patrick and I have been working to get ourselves our first house. We had our home inspection on Monday afternoon. Overall things went pretty well, here and there things that have to be taken care of…but that is a house right? Our major concern was that the inspector said that the roof needed to be replaced. Knowing that the seller was going to be paying all the closing costs, we knew this was going to be a battle. We thought we would start at the beginning and send in a unsatisfactory inspection form to the…
