Roasted White Sweet Potato Fries
So this weekend we got some serious snow. Not as serious as some of the other storms we have had, but the rate at which it came down was the problem. I tend to like snow, but when you have to clean it up? Not so much fun anymore. I still think is is beautiful and since Patrick and I live in the woods, it makes for some pretty amazing views. We also tend to find some interesting prints in our snow after a big one, not sure if it is the neighbors cat or a animals from the woods. Probably a bit of both right? Speaking of critters… I…

Peanut Butter Cookies {Gluten Free}
I am sharing a Peanut Butter Cookie today. Do I have your attention? If you are anything like me, I definitely do. I love Peanut Butter more than I could possibly say. Literally, I think I could eat it out of the jar with a spoon…every.single.day. and be completely happy. When I was younger, my Mom used to babysit as her profession so she always got those huge 5lb drums of Peter Pan peanut butter that you get at Sams, BJs or Costco, because she was always feeding 10 kids peanut butter. Because, let’s be honest…most kids are picky but they love peanut butter. I used to take those huge…

Cayenne Peanut Brittle
It’s Monday again. How did this happen? Wasn’t it just Friday… Our weekends fly by way too fast and I know everyone ALWAYS says this. But, man, it’s true! There is never enough time in the weekend to get done what you want to get done or not get done 😉 Nothing terribly exciting is happening in my life at the moment. Lot’s of little things to keep me busy. Are you doing anything special on Valentine’s Day with your sweetie? I am normally not one to do the whole “Valentine’s Day” thing, but Patrick has gone all out this year for me. Which was unexpected and kind of great…

Almond Date Cranberry Snacks
Good Monday Morning Friends! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was full of working on the house as usual. Went out with some friends on Friday night which was so fun. It is always good to get together for dinner, talk about nothing and everything and drink wine. It is a good way to end the week. Patrick and I also talked to a travel agent about our honeymoon! We were so torn between so many different places. We have a budget in place and it was just so overwhelming we thought, well…I thought it would be nice to meet with someone who plans travel for a living. Patrick was set…

Cheesecake Filled Strawberries
This is about how I feel today… It has been one of those weeks where I am struggling to get my normal tasks done. More so today than normal. Do you have those days? Sometimes all I want to do is curl up with one of these: I love fall time. I cannot wait for leaves and cool mornings and warm days. It is my favorite. Also, in October we will have exactly one year until the wedding. Oh man…I am totally not going to freak out. I do have a recipe to share with you but I wanted to share a story first. This picture below is something that…

Blueberry Rolls
‘Tis the season for blueberries! Ah yes, b.e.a.utiful blueberries. I am lucky that I never have to purchase blueberries because my mom has about 20 blueberry bushes. Which means that if I want blueberries, there are most likely 14 bags of them in the freezer, some on the bushes, or some on the counter. Spoiled. I know. There are just so many things to do with blueberries though. Shakes, smoothies, muffins, scones, breads, salads, with meats, cakes, ice creams, or just as snacks you pop in your mouth. Blueberry muffins have to be one of my favorite things in the entire world. I remember coming home to the smell…

Lemon Scented Blueberry Muffincake
Happy Friday everyone!! I hope that you all have had a lovely week. Mine has seemed like the longest week on the planet. Not really sure why. Ever have one of those? Nothing about it was any different than normal, just was a long ass week. In other news! We have a winner for my Giveaway!! If you haven’t seen it…I was given the opportunity to try out a new product for Morningstar and I was really pleased with how they turned out. So congratulations to: Ramona @ Curry and Comfort I will be contacting you via email 🙂 Today I sharing with you a recipe that was kind of…

Lemon Bourbon Cake Doughnuts
I saw this recipe over at Chasing Delicious and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to make it. Have you ever been over to Chasing Delicious?? It is always SO much fun and Russell is always doing such creative things. I love that name btdubs. If I ever have a boy, that will be a major contention for his name haha Anyways, I knew I had to try this and let me tell you they were a hit! Unfortunately, I couldn’t partake in them because it is still Lent and I am pretty sure that a doughnut counts as a sweet. Right? I froze some so…

Polka Dot Fudgy Brownies
So apparently I never posted this recipe! No idea why, but I think it is worthy of getting posted that is for sure. I have to say that brownies are probably one of my favorite goodies. Something about those ooey gooey chocolate squares just make my heart melt. Which can be a problem… Like most women, I want to have those ooey gooey brownies, but I don’t want to go up a pant size. Not to mention it is Lent right now and I am still on my no sweets diet…for at least another couple weeks haha All of you know my quest to be healthy, and you all know…

Poppy Seed Roll (Makowiec)
Happy Holidays my dears!! Can you believe that Christmas is only 5 days away?! I am so unprepared this year. I am normally SO good about making lists and being overly prepared, but my needed break from things has made me a tad late with planning. Plus this year just seems odd to me. Doesn’t it to you? I just don’t feel like it should be Christmas yet. Perhaps it was because of the placement of Thanksgiving this year. Or perhaps I have just lost my marbles. I am proud to say that I am participating in Abeer’s Christmas Extravaganza this year! If you have never been over to Abeer’s…

Maple Glazed Cinnamon Rolls
Are there certain things that your family only have around the holidays? Ever since I can remember, there would be piping hot cinnamon rolls waking me up on Christmas Morning. That smell of a fresh pastry right out of the oven sure does know how to get me out of bed. It is a tradition that my family has had ever since I can remember. Even now that I am in my late twenties, there is just nothing like that smell when you wake up on Christmas morning at your folks house, or when you walk in the door from your own home and you smell those amazing rolls. Yummm….my…

Pecan Streusel Bread
Some of the best days of Fall are spent curled up under a blanket or baking something to warm your family’s tummy on a brisk day. If I had to pick one or the other…I am not sure I could. I do enjoy both very much these days. I find as I get older the “under the blanket” option is much more appealing. 😉 This bread I am sharing with you today is something my mom and I picked out as a good treat. It was featured in the Cooking Light magazine this past month, which was a special addition issue. Had all of their favorite recipes over the past…
