Pan-Fried Tilapia with Tomato Basil Sauté
I finally broke down…and joined Twitter. Haha…I have had people telling me for like ever and day to join Twitter, so I finally did it. I have NO idea what I am doing or what I need to do or really even how to post anything but I am sure I will find out shortly. If you want to follow me I have a link at the top of my page, right next to the Facebook and RSS feed button. I least know how to do that much! Haha or you can follow me by clicking on my Follow button on Foodbuzz. Like I said…I have NO idea what I…

Maple-Lemon Glazed Salmon with Feta Quinoa
I tell ya, when it rains it pours! I have been SO busy at work pretty much the entire year but this past month it has gotten exceptionally bad. With people leaving and new people starting in my group it has been really hard to get my usual day-to-day work done. On top of traveling for work and the workload I am just burnt out! To add to that…I got into a accident yesterday on my way home from the gym :-(…not fun at all!! Just goes to show how much I hate New England drivers haha. I am fine, a couple bumps and bruises and slight neck pain. The…

Tilapia with Pineapple Salsa
This week is supplier week at work, which means BUSY! Our company has all our suppliers come in this week for a trade show and then a golf tournament for fun and to also show our appreciation for them doing business with us. It makes for a very chaotic and choppy week. Interruptions and supplier dinners all week long haha. Needless to say, I am ready for the weekend already. Which will include MORE demo on my parents house… This past winter when there was so much snow in New England my parents ended up having a TON of water damage from the ice on the roof. So, they are…

Chipotle-Rubbed Salmon Tacos with Apple-Cucumber Salsa
Happy Thursday! The week is almost over friends…I am particularly looking forward to this weekend because one of best friends is going to be in NYC this weekend and I am going to go and see her :-D!!!! This is my Kait and I….hehe. We are complete goofs and I love it. We are always doing something silly, saying something silly, or making other people do silly things. haha 😉 Kait and I met when we were both attending Penn State University as undergrads. We were both a part of the University Dance Company and that is where our friendship really began. Ever since then I have considered Kait to…

Pesto Shrimp Pasta
Hello there! I trust you had a fabulous weekend. My weekend was pretty good. Definitely went to a Mac and Cheese tasting with some of my friends, haha. Mac and Cheese tasting you say?? Believe me this was the best idea they could have ever had. Each person that came to the tasting brought their own Mac and Cheese dish. They were numbered and then we all tried the dishes and cast our votes. My Mac and Cheese came in 2nd place, woot woot! haha, I have to say it was pretty fun and all the different Mac and Cheeses?! Can we say food coma? We had a blast chatting…

Herb Salmon with Lemoned Green Beans
It’s Friday!! I am pretty excited for the weekend to be here. This week has been busy, to say the least, and next week isn’t going to be much better. Needless to say I am totally looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Maybe I will even take the bike out for a ride since it is supposed to be so nice. Winning! Whenever it is a nice out I have a really hard time not firing up the grill every day of the weekend. You can make so many different things and it always seems to taste good. The taste of food coming off the grill just reminds me of…

Spicy Chipotle Grilled Shrimp with Pineapple
What a perfect weekend! It was sunny and there was lots celebrating! Tino’s grandmother turned 95 this weekend!! How amazing is that?! She is such a pistol too, hehe. Even at 95 she is still sneaky, she was able to get a taste of her cake without ANYONE, besides me but I wouldn’t dare say a word ;-), seeing her (you know the sneaky finger in icing trick, haha). I was also able to celebrate a fabulous Mother’s Day with my mom. Every year it is our tradition to go to her favorite farm and to pick out all her vegetables, spices, flowers, etc. for her garden my treat! Then…

Chunky Cod Fish Fingers
::sings:: Give me that filet’o’fish, Give me that Fish! What if it were you, hanging up on this wall… If you all are wondering what the heck I am singing there, that would be the old Mcdonald’s filet of fish sandwich jingle that they played last year (or was it 2 years ago??), that used to get stuck in my head for daaaayyysss. If you don’t know what I am talking about, google that sh*t and I promise you the YouTube video will come up if you search “Filet’o’Fish”. I used to drive one of my coworkers crazy because I would sing it to him all the time haha, sorry…

Pot Stickers
I am such a dork…I literally get so excited about the silliest things. For example, I painted my nails green for St. Patty’s Day (also my favorite color). I wanted to make sure to get them painted before my trip to California…whaddya think? Greeeeeeen! Guess what else I am excited about?! I am leaving for California today!! :-D. Yay!!! I cannot tell you how ready I am to be going away to someplace new… ::dances in chair:: Again as promised my dears a “recipe to come…” from my Great Food for Great Friends post. This one is the pot stickers recipe. I am going to show the ground turkey version…

Great Food for Great Friends
Saturday of this past weekend was a fun day…I invited over some good friends and we had a great time eating, drinking, and just socializing. Once I knew that people were going to be coming over I decided I wanted to do something a little different for dinner than what I normally do. It is always great to break from the mold :-). I know a lot of people who tend to try and stick to what they know when they have guests coming over because normally, that makes for a guaranteed good meal. ::raises right hand:: I am very guilty of this! However, this time I wanted to step…

Coming down to the wire…
Yesterday I had one of my favorite suppliers for work come visit from Chicoutimi, Canada. Marc has been one of the people that I have really become friends with since I started with the company almost 3 years ago. He speaks French and has a very European “way” about him, which I really enjoy. I always love to talk to people who are from different places. I went to visit him in 2009 in Canada and it was such an experience. It was literally as far North as you can possibly get in Canada. A whopping 10 hour drive from where I work in Connecticut, but well worth the trip!…
