Jalapeno Burgers

Happy Thursday to you all! I am getting settled from my trip I was just on in Baton Rouge finally. I literally ate celery at lunch yesterday with a bottle of water. I was STILL full from lunch the day before at lunch time the next day. Sheesh! I wish I could have stayed longer but I don’t know if my waistline could have handled it, haha.

We are still experiencing rain in the northeast which makes it hard to get out of bed, but also gives you more time to look up some new recipes for things because you are stuck inside. I had a hankering for a burger this past weekend and I wanted to come up with something that was a little different but would still satisfy my craving. Every once in a while it is nice to have a big burger on the weekends. Now that football season is here, it works out even better!

So check out these Jalapeno Burgers I made this past weekend and let me know what you think!

Ingredients for Jalapeno Burgers:

1 lb ground sirloin (97% lean)

2 large jalapenos

1 clove garlic

3-4 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon season salt

pepper

Wheat Buns

take out seeds and veins and chop jalapenos
combine jalapeno, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, season salt, and pepper
form into patties with hands

Now I use sirloin because it is a leaner meat and also it tends to hold together better than just ground chuck. The Worcestershire is always a good thing to use when you want to be able to hold your burgers together. It adds a great flavor and that way you don’t have to add any additional ingredients, just a few tablespoons of the sauce.

Recipe for Mac and Cheese to come soon!

This burger was juicy and delicious! I added sharp cheddar on top while it was cooking on the grill and then topped it with tomato, pickle, and lettuce. Put it in between a wheat bun and then enjoyed that burger until it was all gone. NomNoms!
