Patrick’s parents were just here for a visit for a few days, so we did a lot of sight seeing and trying to entertain them and keep them happy. I am glad that Patrick got to see his parents 🙂 This week are our engagement photos! So nervous. I know that our photographer is going to be amazing and her pictures are outstanding I have just never had a photo shoot that was primarily based around me and one other person. Certainly going to be interesting!…

My Blog is turning 3 today!! Can you believe that?! I cannot believe that I have been blogging for 3 years. So many recipes, so many new friends, so many opportunities. I would never have thought 3 years ago that the blog would become such a big part of my life but it has. People that I never would have thought of paying attention to things like a food blog, talk to me about my recipes or about the content that I write about. Just wow! Throughout the 3 years I have been amazed at the interest, support and overall love I have gotten with this blog. I wanted to…

Baked Tomatoes with Corn and Goat Cheese

Happy Monday! How is your Monday going? Did you have a nice weekend? My weekend was full of master bathroom remodeling and purchasing… ::blank look:: Which basically means, I am poor. Haha, bathroom remodels are expensive! Holy shmokes. We are limited in our space for the master bath. It isn’t a very large bathroom so we are trying to maximize our space. We currently have a whirlpool in our bathroom and it literally takes up half the room…eeeekk! So we are going to adjust that and remove the whirlpool and put something that in that is going to save a butt-load of space in that tiny area (about 10″). I…

    Squash Croquettes

Happy Friday!!! Who else is excited that it is Friday? This week has been unusually busy for me at work, not to mention my parents and Patrick have been traveling so I am left with all the chores at 2 houses…. ::blank look:: I am worn out haha. Tonight is going to be me, sitting on my ass in front of the television doing nothing. Granted I will probably cook something prior to that. Shocking. I know. Not really sure what I am going to make or what I am going to watch, but it is going to happen. Gizzy (Mr. BunBun) are gonna have a nice and relaxing night.…

Big Apple Barbecue Block Party in NYC

Are you ready for this post my fellow foodies? I was invited to attend the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party presented by Southern Living, Cooking Light, MyRecipes and RealSimple. It took place in NYC on June 8th & 9th in Madison Square Park. It was the 11th annual block party and it was so much fun! There were cooking classes, live performances, vendor tents with tools and foods, live demonstrations of cooking and cocktail ideas, and best of all BBQ all day long! I honestly had never heard of this event before, but I am so glad I have now. It is only about 2 hours from where I live…

    Smashed Roasting Potatoes

Whew! It’s Friday!! Thanks goodness too! This week has been sort of a weird one for me. Let me explain… On Tuesday, I started feeling a little strange towards the end of the day. Didn’t think much of it, my allergies have been bothering me quite a lot. I went and mowed at our pretty house because well, all the rain in New England made the weeds in my yard feel like they needed to grow about 4 feet. While I was mowing a cop drove up to our house asking me if I had seen anything suspicious because some suspects had been rummaging through mail on my street! #WHATTHEHELL??…

    Two Bean Pineapple Salsa

Whew! It has been a while! My poor blog has gotten neglected for the past few weeks. Between traveling for work, being sick and the weather being nice enough to make the grass grow…I have been a busy girl! How have you all been? I am hoping well…the nice weather has been really great to have. This winter seemed extremely long. I do love my snow, but I was ready for some sunshine. The one good thing about all the sunshine is that we get some awesome green plants and colorful flowers. I was so happy to see Patrick and my house look so green again. There is something about…

    Roasted Shrimp and Broccoli

Well hello! I am back from Portugal! I have been MIA this past week, which I do apologize for. Portugal was very much different than I thought it would be. It was a bit rainy and a tad bit chilly for my taste, but we did go at a bad time of year. Can’t really complain too much since the trip was pretty inexpensive since Patrick had to work over there. Since Patrick was working, during the days I spent most of my time wandering around the streets of Setubal, drinking tons of “café”, which is not coffee it is espresso. Honestly, it was my favorite part of the trip.…

    Provençale Chicken

Hello everyone, how is life treating ya? I have to say I am pretty stressed. We had a rather unfortunate occurrence at our house this past weekend which really put a damper on the week. We came home to some lovely water damage in our powder room, yea the one I showed you guys before that was completely done. The ceiling is not salvageable. Which means taking down the ceiling, replacing the drywall, redoing the plastering, priming and painting and potentially having to redo the crown molding and caulking that is already been done. How did that happen you ask? Well, remember how I told you about how we were…
