I wanted to share some good news with you all! Patrick got a new job and his first day is today…:-D He is excited about it and I am excited for him. He was feeling a little trapped in his current job and I am so glad that he was able to find something that he feels like he will be challenged at. So yay for Patrick! I felt so funny this am putting some cookies and blondies (recipes to come) in his lunch bag with a note on the baggie that says “I hope you have a great 1st day!”. Hehe, I am a dork like that. I…

Colors for the House
Hello everyone I trust your weekend is going well. It has been a little rainy and gloomy here, which is okay because I have been stuck inside for the past 4 days. My wisdom teeth are official out. Not fun. I have to say that if I could have skipped that part of my life I would haha. The surgery didn’t go quite as well as they had hoped. I tend to have veins that are hard to find, so that was the first hiccup. Then I ended up waking up during surgery…gah! That was not fun, I woke up and saw all of the people around me and started…

August House Update
Ever have one of those weeks where it is only Tuesday and it feels like it should be Thursday already because of all the activities you shoved into your Monday? No? Only me? 😛 Yesterday, I managed to cram in an entire day of work, a playoff softball game at 6:45; which we unfortunately lost, but good year Sam’s. AND also went to dance from 8-1130pm. Needless to say I am feeling a bit sluggish today. My Starbucks is helping out that situation 🙂 Yes, I have a teddy bear at my desk. His name is Louie and he fights off unwanted guests for me. hehe So what else is…

Patrick’s Birthday
Hey all! So I have been MIA this week huh? I have been in training all week for this new system that my company is trying to implement. Kinda sucks big time, but what are you gonna do, ya know? Ever heard of SAP? No? Keep it that way. Anyways, so I wanted to tell you guys how the weekend with for Patrick’s birthday went. I know a lot of you were asking how it went and where we went, etc. We ended up going to Boston, what a great place to St. Patty’s Day right? (except for me because I gave up alcohol for Lent, still holding strong!) Patrick…

Sur La Table Cooking Class
As promised, here is the post about the class that I took at Sur La Table. It was called Date Night: Cozy French Dinner, and here is what was on the menu: Thyme and Gruyere Gougeres Frisee and Apple Salad with Dijon-Honey Vinaigrette Coq a Vin with Wild Mushrooms Chocolate Pots de Crème with Walnut Praline This meal was designed to be a rustic hearty meal. It definitely was! From the moist and crisp gougeres to the tart salad and the savory coq a vin…it was an all around stellar meal. I will definitely be making some of these recipes again. Although I would change some of them around just…

Cinnamon Chip Scones
Moms are seriously amazing. Aren’t they? They always know just how much love to give you when you need it, or just the right amount of Jell-O when your tummy hurts. They always know what kind of advice to give you (and are 9 times out of 10 right), even when you think you have it all figured out. They always know what is best for you, even though you hate what that “best for you” is. I am amazed at Moms. They are patient, wise, overwhelmingly kind and unconditionally loving. Sometimes I wonder if I could be a Mom… My friend Becci and I were having this conversation about…

Top 9 of 2011!
I am TOTALLY copying right now from Kita at Pass the Sushi. Don’t worry, don’t worry…I asked her for her permission to copy her very cute idea for the Top 11 of 2011. She is always coming up with the best ideas! If you haven’t checked her out before, GO DO IT NOW! She is so creative and a real inspiration to anyone who wants something new and totally out of the box. Instead of doing the Top 11 like Kita did, I thought in respect to Foodbuzz that I would my Top 9 of 2011. It is always so exciting going to the Top 9 everyday to see who…

Happy Holidays!
Hello All!! How are you doing?! Did you have a good Christmas?? I hope you did! I feel like I haven’t spoken to you all in ages! It has been so busy this holiday season with traveling and all. I was so lucky this year to have Patrick take me to the Nutcracker in Boston with the Boston Ballet. It was SO much fun! I had a great time, it was so nice to see the ballet after so many years of not seeing it. It was a tradition in my family to go every year. When we moved to Philadelphia we were so disappointed with the ballet we saw…

Chef to Farm Dinner at Rosedale Farms
NO I didn’t fall off the face of the earth, I am here! I haven’t posted AT ALL this week and it feels so strange…I have been pretty busy and haven’t really made anything worth mentioning on here. However, I will have some really great things for you next week. I will be attending a Halloween themed Chili Cook-Off which I am SUPER excited for. I love dressing up for Halloween I think it is a blast 😀 Btdubs, I got SNOW last night. Yes, snow. At my house. On the ground. Snow. They are predicting 8-10″ tomorrow. It is October! Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOVE snow. Like ♥…
