    No Title Needed.

Well, I never thought I would say this but I wish it were 2020 again… Since the last time I blogged, life got a little crazy on me. Some good, some bad, some really bad. I got myself a rescue pup – her name is Crosby. She has totally rocked Teddy and my world. She is so full of life though. She has brought new life into the family. She has a lot to learn and she turns 1 on the 30th. Can’t even believe that. She is a total mutt and it very unclear what happened to her in her early life, but it is good to have a…

    Thoughts

Hello Blogiverse – How have you been? I feel like it has been ages since we have spoken. I guess it has. I am sorry I haven’t been around much lately. It has been a rather….…..interesting, year. I thought that my 30s would be a turning point in my life and well, I was right, but not in the way I thought. Things I never imagined would happen; have. Things that I expected to happen; haven’t. My 30s have turned my world upside down. Many times I came onto the pages here on this enormous cyber-land and couldn’t find the words to say. Of all the words in the dictionary…

    Homemade Crockpot Applesauce

So hey! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I don’t have a fancy Mexican inspired dish for you, unless you want to count the cinnamon. But technically I think it needs to accompany chocolate to be considered “Mexican inspired”. We are having a Taco Tuesday to celebrate, but I want to talk Apples. Do you ever have so many apples that you don’t know what to do with them all? We always have apples in our house, because I could literally eat one just about every single day! Patrick and I live close to so many amazing orchards that it is hard not to have them all the time. However, sometimes we…

    Monday Morsels

Good morning everyone!! How was your weekend?? Mine was particularly cold. It has been rather chilly here in the East for the past 10 days. We are supposed to get some snow and sleet today as well. Snow, yay! Sleet, boo! I mean don’t get me wrong, I love snow. I am not afraid to drive in it, but when it becomes freezing rain?? No fun, plus people here in the Northeast don’t know how to drive in it. It is amazing, how on earth do people who were born and raised here not know how to drive in this weather better? Unreal to me. Anyways, I promised you all…

    I have Faith. We Are.

Today I am not sharing a recipe and it honestly won’t be my normal chipper post. I have to say I have a heavy heart this week. My beloved Alma Mater is struggling right now. All of the media and news that is denouncing Penn State, makes my heart sink and truly hurts. I understand that some really unspeakable acts happened at Penn State. Things that I cannot believe. Things that are completely unforgivable. Things that will shake most people to their core. What happened, and the person who committed those acts, are terrible and will never be forgotten. The problem I am having is that I have had so…

    Prayers for Gizzy

*UPDATE ON GIZZY* (2/10) First of all, I just wanted to tell you all thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. I am so overwhelmed with all of your support. I am hoping that all of those positive vibes will help Gizzy’s outcome. I wanted to give you all a brief update to let you know how he is doing, since so many of you have asked me to keep you in the loop. Thank you so much for that, I appreciate all of your empathy. I went to visit the little man yesterday in the vet, which was so upsetting. Poor little thing was hooked up…

    SNOW

I am guessing by now that most of you have heard that the Northeast was hit with a rather large and snowstorm this past weekend. The entire state of CT is pretty much without power. Somewhere like 700,000 people without power right now, including myself. Have been without power since Saturday night now. Going on 4 days… There are businesses and homes without power all throughout the Northeast. My office does not even have power. It is crazy to see so many places without still. All of the black boxes indicate areas where there is 81-100% power outage. Which is right where I live and work. The only reason I…
