Teddy Treats (Doggie Treats)
It has started my friends.
I am one of “those” dog people.
I am one of “those” dog Moms.
You know what though? I am good with it!
I have waited SO SO long to have a dog that I am not even remotely ashamed to admit that my doggie is important to me. SUPER important!
And we have only had him 3 weeks.
It seems like a lifetime, but in a good way.
Teddy still doesn’t sleep all the way through the night. He wakes up about every 3-4 hours needing to go outside, but at least he tells us he needs to!
We are keeping him in our master bathroom for now while he is a puppy so that he is close to us and we can hear him when we whines to go out.
The bathroom is just big enough for him to move around a bit, but not big enough where we can’t see him immediately when we look in. Which is good.
I didn’t want to keep him in the crate downstairs because then I wouldn’t hear him get up in the night.
Anyways, we are slowly introducing him to new things every day. He hasn’t gotten his 2nd round of puppy shots yet so he hasn’t been around a ton of other dogs yet.
BUT, we have taken him on quite a few road trips already.
He also doesn’t enjoy the hair dryer, loves the dishwasher, loves to LEAP off of stairs and things my hair is great to suck on.
He came with us last weekend to go and get our plants for the spring.
Every year for Mother’s day, I treat my Mom to all her garden plants. Herbs, veggies and flowers if she wants. She normally helps pick out my garden too and then we plant together and share together. It is a nice tradition that I hope we never stop. I love you Mom <3
We decided to bring little Teddy along with us and MAN did he love it! So many people to see, so many things to chew!
He just loves meeting new people. Jumping and licking and puppy biting.
He does A LOT of biting! He is a puppy though and that is expected. Loves putting everything in his mouth and wants to play 24/7, until he crashes.
He is normally awake for about 90 mins-2 hours at a time and then he crashes during the day.
He doesn’t want to miss anything!
Just like a little kid.
But he sleeps a lot still, which is good.

Look at that sweet puppy nose!
This was on the way back from the garden shopping, he was OUT. But the day wasn’t over, we took him to Home Depot as well (naturally, since we live there practically with all the renovations we do).
It is amazing how many grown men in HD will stop and say “awwwwwww, puppy!” and want to pet Teddy as soon as they see him.
He is definitely a magnet for just about anyone.
Since we are just now starting to teach Teddy things, you need to have treats on hand AT ALL TIMES.
He thinks bran flakes, ice cubes and ground turkey are about the best things on the planet…
But, I wanted to have something for him that was special so I enlisted the help of my Mom who used to make these home made doggie treats for our family dog Princey.
She LOVED them! Like LOOOVED them!
Teddy is no different.
These are super easy treats to make and they make quite a few of them and dogs seriously love them.
I mean it is bacon grease. What is there that a dog wouldn’t love?
The best part is, you know what your doggie is eating. I know most people really don’t care what their dog eats, but I do!
I care a lot about what I put into my body, so why wouldn’t I feel the same way about my Teddy?
He loves these treats!
As soon as we open the freezer…
Little side note: since these are homemade and have no preservatives, you do need to keep them in the freezer until you are ready to give them to your pup
Anyways, as SOON as we open up the freezer he sits and looks at you like…are you gonna give me that? Because, I really like those and I will sit pretty….seee?????
They are awesome tools for training and incentive to behave correctly. Because let’s face it, puppies pretty much do whatever they want haha.
I hope you make these and give them to your furbabies! I haven’t tried them out on cats, but who knows. There might be some bacon loving felines out there!
Cheers! or as Teddy would say RUFF!
Enjoy some cuteness before you go!

What a lucky little guy!! I totally get being a “dog mom”. My friends always say that they want to come back as one of my dogs because they get the royal treatment. 🙂 I bet my little guy will love these treats!! PS… that close-up photo of his nose…. so cute!!!

He is definitely lucky and so spoiled! I would love to come back as a dog! They do get lots of love, but they are so so happy too!

Congratulations on becoming a fur baby mama! Hehe:) He is just so so super cute. Spoil him as much as you can, because he deserves it. Teddy is super lucky to have enjoyed those doggie treats.
