We are blessed again today with another blogger friend of mine Abeer over at Cake Whiz!
Have you ever checked out this blogger’s stuff?!
Amazingly talented and so creative and an old friend from way back when I first started this little blog here.
My little corner of the blog-o-sphere.
Please enjoy!

Hey guys!
My name is Abeer and I blog at CakeWhiz and I am obsessed with baking and cake decorating….
And I mean…seriously obsessed! Lol 😛
I am always thinking of new recipes for cakes, cupcakes, cookies and all sorts of yummy goodies…hehe.
I also can’t stop myself from decorating these desserts and making them look pretty 😉
When Raven asked if I could do a guest post for her while she prepares for her big wedding day, I agreed right away.
You see…Raven was one of my first blogger friends that I met through Food Buzz about 3 years ago and we have been friends ever since 😀
I adoreeeee reading her blog posts and drooling over her delicious recipes and gorgeous pictures 😉
I only hope that the recipe I am sharing today is just as good as the wonderful stuff she shares with all of you 🙂
So, allow me to present my mini trifle, composed of soft vanilla cake cubes, Nutella and peanut butter frosting, crushed Oreos, strawberry mixture and tonnes of colorful sprinkles! Mmmmmmmmmmmm…..
The nutty flavors of the Nutella/peanut butter frosting and subtle tanginess of the strawberries, along with the “chocolicious” kick from the Oreo cookies are all perfectly balanced!
This trifle has God knows how many calories! But, I think we can indulge in this guilty pleasure, every once in a while…Right??? 😛 hahaha 😉
Here’s the recipe… Enjoy!
Ingredients:
For the trifle:
Vanilla cake
Nutella and peanut butter frosting (recipe follows below)
Strawberry mixture (recipe follows below)
Oreos
Sprinkles
Clear drinking glasses
Nutella and peanut butter frosting
1/4 cup chunky peanut butter
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup Nutella
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp shortening
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Strawberry mixture
1/2 cup non-seedy strawberry jam
1/4 cup finely chopped strawberries
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
Instructions:
Step 1:
– Prepare your frosting…
– Add peanut butter, Nutella, shortening and butter in a deep bowl.
– Beat it all together until everything is properly blended.
– Now, add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and heavy cream and beat on the lowest speed until everything is mixed together.
– Keep this aside.
Step 2:
– Bake your vanilla cake or buy a store-bought vanilla cake.
– Cut it into small cubes.
– Keep this aside.
Step 3:
– In a small bowl, mix finely chopped strawberries with strawberry jam and cinnamon powder so that you have somewhat of a chunky mixture.
– Keep this aside.
Step 4:
– Time to start layering everything into clear glasses…
– Place a few cake cubes at the very bottom.
– Then, place a few teaspoons of strawberry mixture.
– Add some more cake cubes on top.
– Now, add a few teaspoons of Nutella/peanut butter frosting.
– Add come more cake cubes on top.
– Continue layering until you reach near the top of the glass.
– Finally, top everything off with lots of crushed Oreos and sprinkles.
– Stick a couple of wafer biscuits in your trifle to make it pretty.
And you are done…Enjoy.
Store all leftovers in the fridge.
It’s been a pleasure guest posting here.
I hope you guys give this trifle a shot! Trust me…you won’t be sorry 😉
Take care everyone!
