Holiday Party

It is Monday again…how do Monday’s always seem to creep up so fast on you? I mean really…it was just Friday! I did have a really good weekend though. My parents threw this really amazing Christmas party for some of my Dad’s coworkers. I was the bartender/tour guide/photographer of the party.

OH YES! The new camera is fantastic! You should have seen me when it arrived on Saturday. I was like a little kid jumping up and down screaming “Open it! Open it!”. It came while I was helping my mom cook some food for the party and I completely stopped what I was doing to open my new present up. Check this out…

This is my new baby…my D3100. It was SO easy to use! I was really impressed at just how simple it was to just use it and get really amazing shots. I mean granted I have only had it for a total of 3 days, but it is taking such great pictures already; I am so excited to see what happens when I get really good at it! 🙂

Anyways, because it is Christmas time and because it was a party…I got to dress up 😀

I love Christmas time and being able to dress up and look pretty. Not to mention you get to eat lots of great food. There are tons of presents AND everyone always seems to be in a better mood around Christmas time.

Anyways, so I took some photos at my parents party and I wanted to share them with you all. Some are food, some are not…hope you enjoy!

PRESENTS?! Yes please…remember what it was like to wake up on Christmas morning and run and see all your presents waiting for you from Santa? I was one of those kids that just couldn’t sleep the night before Christmas…I was always so excited! haha

My mom has had these since I was little…She has always put different colored Hershey Kisses in them. I don’t know why but they are some of my favorite decorations that my mom uses. Maybe it is because it is chocolate decoration haha. I think I mostly like it because they just end up looking so creative. Some people don’t even realize that it is Kisses until they get up close.

Speaking of chocolate…

My mother is possibly the best baker I know. She makes the most outstanding cookies during Christmas time. She bakes them and then sells them to people, for way less money than they are worth in my opinion. Every single one is so exquisite…some of them have layers upon layers of delicious chocolate. Yum!

This was my favorite appetizer of the party. It was so simple but it was really tasty. It was cherry tomatoes that were cut in half. Then a slice of mozzarella ball was placed in between secured with a tooth pick. Olive oil and basil were drizzled on top. They were SO good. So simple but super duper amazing!

By the end of the night everyone was so exhausted! It was a great party, everyone seemed to have a great time. It is always nice to have parties during the holiday season. They are the best kind of party.
