    Provençale Chicken

Hello everyone, how is life treating ya? I have to say I am pretty stressed. We had a rather unfortunate occurrence at our house this past weekend which really put a damper on the week. We came home to some lovely water damage in our powder room, yea the one I showed you guys before that was completely done. The ceiling is not salvageable. Which means taking down the ceiling, replacing the drywall, redoing the plastering, priming and painting and potentially having to redo the crown molding and caulking that is already been done. How did that happen you ask? Well, remember how I told you about how we were…

    Chicken Pepper Pasta

Hello everyone! I have been MIA this week. Been feeling slightly under the weather and I missed 2 days of work this week which has made the rest of my week pretty hectic during the day. You know whenever you miss a few days of something you just feel out of sorts? That is how I feel this week. I am sure I will get back up to speed, but it is the catching up that is the brutal part. HOWEVER! In the coming weeks I have some really exciting news to share with all of you. I don’t mean to hold you all in suspense, but I just wanted…

Spicy Asian Chicken and Noodle Soup

It is getting to be that time of year where all I want to do on the weekends is curl up with a good book, a blanket, and a bowl of soup and just lounge around. Fall is seriously my favorite time of year. I just love the cool brisk air and when the leaves that start to change. I have hoped ever since I was a little girl that I would be able to get married in the Fall. I am sure that me getting married is quite some time away right now, but a girl can dream. 😉 This soup I am sharing with you today is a…

    Peach and Feta Chicken Pizza

Hello my foodie friends! How are you this Thursday morning?  I am certainly doing better than I was yesterday. I dropped my car off at a shop to get repaired after my accident that I had this week. What a bummer! I am glad that my car will be getting fixed though. I pretty much love my car (2008 Ford Escape XLT V6, vroom vroom!) so having it get fixed is going to be the highlight of my week next week. It is always so hard to not have a car you know? I am lucky that I have an extra car that I can drive around. I had a…

    Stuffed Banana Peppers

The garden is just bursting with vegetables right now and I am loving every single second. I have become SUCH a vegetable eater as I have gotten older. I just don’t have the desire anymore to have a big juicy steak. The last time I actually went for meat was when I was in Kansas City and I was going to Gates BBQ, where I stuffed my face like a fat kid with some pulled pork and baked beans…mmmm, nomnoms. Other than that… ::shrugs:: I think I could really live without it. I think it has something to do with the fact that the beef just doesn’t taste the same…

Chicken Tacos with Cilantro Slaw and Avocado Cream

I started my weekend off right this past week…yup, that’s right…with cocktails! I know a lot of you saw my delicious cocktail picture on book of faces at precisely 6:31pm Friday night. I was lucky enough to take the afternoon off from work last Friday and take a nice bike ride. I am SO glad that I did that too because like you read in my post yesterday, it is supposed to rain for the next 6 days… 🙁 . I am very happy that I was able to get out and enjoy the last of the sunshine for a while. Anyways, to celebrate the gorgeously warm weather…what better cocktail…

Happy Good Friday everyone!! I have been kind of MIA this week…I apologize!! After the show this weekend, which went SO well, I have been trying to catch up. Work has been SO busy and the softball and kickball (yes I play kickball in an adult league, it is SO much fun!!) leagues are starting up. BUSY BUSY! I am so excited about this weekend…want to know why?! I GET TO EAT SWEETS!!! YAY!! 😀  (I am SO excited to be involved in Becky’s Bake Sale – Check it out on May 2nd). Sesame Noodles with Chicken

It’s Friday!! What a week this has been! I think that being gone to California really put a dent in my workload at work. I just cannot seem to get ahead of the game. Needless to say I am pretty happy about it being Friday not only because it means I don’t have to work tomorrow and I get to sleep in, BUT one my girlfriends at work went on a “HOT DATE” last night and I can’t wait to hear about it!! 😉 Last night I wanted to try and make something a little different (and healthy) for myself. I am always looking to try new recipes but sometimes…

    Almond Crusted Chicken

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your start to your week. We have been having a slight glimpse into spring here in Connecticut, but it appears that it is going to change back to rather bitter cold by tomorrow :-(. As you all know I love snow and the cold, but there comes a time right around March that my body flips a switch and says “OK, I am done, ready for some warm weather and flip flops now!”. I really don’t think I could live in a place where the seasons don’t change, I think I would go through withdrawal. I enjoy having that switch of cold…

    Artichoke & Feta Stuffed Chicken

What a depressing weekend for Steelers fans…I myself am a Steelers fan because I lived in PA for a while. I was closer to Philly, but I really didn’t like the Eagles…so I went with the other team. I went to college closer to Pittsburgh than Philly anyway. I was so disappointed, I really felt like Pittsburgh was the better team but because of interceptions and fumbles we just got killed. I think on everything else in the game the Steelers really outplayed the Packers. Especially on the run game…but Ben just threw those interceptions and every time he did the Packers monopolized and scored. That is super hard to…
