Happy Belated 4th America!
Hey there! I know this is a bit late, *ahem* perhaps a week late. Things have been slightly crazy lately. So forgive me foodies and America for my late posting for my 4th of July cookies 🙂 I am not going to go crazy with this post…I am just going to showcase the lovely cookies I made for my Mom’s 4th of July celebration. It is the usual recipe I use for my sugar cookies and icing. Check it out here. I hope you all had an amazing 4th with whatever you did! Most of you heard about my extravaganza in Boston. Interesting times people, interesting times. Anyways, I am…

Tuna Salad Melt
Notice anything different about my blog? No, not the design. Nope, not a new post. Look a little higher, little higher, BAM! This website is now www.ravienomnoms.com. No more wordpress.com :-). Just thought you all might like to know. It should redirect you automatically, but just in case…now you know 😉 Confession time… OK, I admit it, I am a bit obsessed with Cooking Light. I anxiously wait to get them in the mail every month and then I thumb through them and mark just about every single page as a “must try” recipe. There could be worse things right? That is what I always say when Patrick gives me…

Dark Chocolate Oat Clusters
Hey Everybody! Thanks so much for all your support with my choppin’ off my locks for Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I am just now getting used to the new do. I love how little time it takes me to actually get it ready. I mean going from 15 minutes to 5 minutes to do your hair is phenomenal! The show for Eclipse was this weekend! Everything went pretty well. I think the girls and I danced our hearts out and that is what really matters 🙂 We had some technical difficulties with the individuals who ran the theater, but I think that I our dancing made up for their screw ups.…

Quinoa Flakes
I have been totally neglecting my blog here. It is terrible and I owe an apology to RavieNomNoms. My sincerest of apologies, dear friend! My life has been hectic to say the least in the past month and I just doesn’t seem to be letting up AT ALL. Work has been…well to put it lightly. AWFUL! SAP is literally making me want to change my career path at the moment. I am so stressed at work all the time which just makes for some really really long days. I am sure the company will get through it, but right now…it is just frustrating. The new house, which I fall in…

Breakfast Quinoa with Fruit
Hello my dears! I hope all of you that participated in this month’s pen pal had fun. I was so amazed at how much fun I had with it. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I am SO glad that I decided to do it. Definitely doing it again! Can I tell you what I am most excited about right now? The fact that I will be in Disney at the end of this month! GAH!! You have no idea how much I am anticipating this vacation. I totally need it… Work has been SO stressful lately that all I want to do is run away. Stupid SAP.…

Pancakes for Dinner
Thanks everyone! You all have been so sweet and supportive of Patrick and I with our new house. We are so very excited about it all and thank you all for being excited with us! Every time I look at it I get so excited now! I have to admit that when we first found out that they accepted our offer it was kind of a mix of emotions. I mean…when you buy your first house, it almost like you are saying goodbye to your childhood. I have been with my parents now for a long time and I will be going out on my own now, well with Patrick…

Pineapple Smoothie
Welp, we are back to more “normal” weather for this time of year. Back down to the low 50s instead of the low 80s. It was SO nice having a taste of the warm weather though. I mean the fact that we have had little to no snow this season? Kinda makes me want to cry, but I would much rather it be nice outside than have it be cold with no snow. I know sounds weird right? But… What is the fun of it being super cold out if there is no snow to play in? I would much rather there be pretty snow to look at or play…

Sur La Table Cooking Class
As promised, here is the post about the class that I took at Sur La Table. It was called Date Night: Cozy French Dinner, and here is what was on the menu: Thyme and Gruyere Gougeres Frisee and Apple Salad with Dijon-Honey Vinaigrette Coq a Vin with Wild Mushrooms Chocolate Pots de Crème with Walnut Praline This meal was designed to be a rustic hearty meal. It definitely was! From the moist and crisp gougeres to the tart salad and the savory coq a vin…it was an all around stellar meal. I will definitely be making some of these recipes again. Although I would change some of them around just…

SweetBurgers with Chipotle Cilantro Cream
We are going to start off today with some frustration and then get to the excitement, sound good? OK, so I am CONFUSED!! What the heck Facebook? The timeline feature is really neat to look at, but how the heck do I get it to do what I want for my RavieNomNoms Fanpage? I can’t get any of my links to come up just under my cover picture. Maybe it has something to do with the amount of people you have liking your page and that gives you different options? As, I am looking through book of faces that is all I can tell. Some people are able to put…

Cinnamon Chip Scones
Moms are seriously amazing. Aren’t they? They always know just how much love to give you when you need it, or just the right amount of Jell-O when your tummy hurts. They always know what kind of advice to give you (and are 9 times out of 10 right), even when you think you have it all figured out. They always know what is best for you, even though you hate what that “best for you” is. I am amazed at Moms. They are patient, wise, overwhelmingly kind and unconditionally loving. Sometimes I wonder if I could be a Mom… My friend Becci and I were having this conversation about…

I Heart Cookies
Gizzy is home!!! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers and kind words. I know they helped him. He was in the bunny hospital for 3 days. He is home now and has some meds he has to take and he has to take it easy, but he is home. Thank Goodness! You have no idea the amount of stress I was going through while he was at the vet. That constant unknown is horrible. Man o man. I am hoping for nothing but a healthy bunny for the rest of his healthy bunny life. I think it shaved a few years off my own life to…
