Pumpkin Spiced Latte
We are official one month away from my wedding. Well technically 29 days today… AH!! I would like to take a moment and thank caffeine for getting to me where I am now. Without it?ย I am not quite sure that I would be alive at this point. No joke. Something about Fall though…makes me happy. SO happy! I love leaves, the cool weather, the going back to school (even though I have been out of school for yeaaaars). Wasn’t going back to school so much fun! Well for like a week, but still the back to school shopping and all that jazz! I also love Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving…

Mojito
Sometimes a girl just needs a drink! You know those things called weekends where you take it easy and relax? I have no idea what that means…. I work hard on the weekends. I renovate, I work out, I clean, I mow the lawn, I meet with vendors for the wedding. Weekends are NOT for relaxing for me right now. Hope that changes after the wedding though! But for now, they are jammed packed. Full of getting things done, having meetings with vendors, trying to keep the yard up and renovating our guest bathroom (which will hopefully be the last thing we do until next year) and trying to have…

Chocolate Caramel Brownies
What a weekend! Eclipse Dance Company was all over the place! Our big event, among others this weekend, was the International Festival of Arts and Ideas. We had a 30ย minute piece that we put on for the festival and it went really well. 30 minutes of dancing straight through, btdubs. No stopping. Thirty.Minutes.Straight.Through. Whew! It was a warm day as well and the performance was on an outside stage, so it was interesting to say the least. With all of the extra rehearsals we have been pulling this month, 2 sometimes 3 times a week from 9pm-midnight. It has been a very tense and stressful month, but we made…

So very much appreciated! ๐ Just so you all know the cooking class at Sur La Table was fun, you will see a post later this week showing you all the yummy rustic recipes we made. Definitely recipes that anyone can cook and have a great comforting and flavorful result! Stay tuned… So lately I have been telling you guys that I have to get more protein into my diet. I have gotten SO bad about…

Celebrate with Cranberry Champagne
Christmas is just around the corner folks! I mean think about it. Christmas is 12 days (thanks Becci ๐ ) from now. 12 days! Holy moly…I have just about everything done. I worked on my Christmas cards the other day, I just need to get them stamped and signed and sent. CHECK! Christmas gifts, except for a few here and there things are done and wrapped. CHECK! Oh! Btdubs, I have a story for you all. My mom was telling me about going to the grocery store to get some things for her Christmas party she just had. As she was parking, she sat in her car a few minutes…

Chef to Farm Dinner at Rosedale Farms
NO I didn’t fall off the face of the earth, I am here! I haven’t posted AT ALL this week and it feels so strange…I have been pretty busy and haven’t really made anything worth mentioning on here. However, I will have some really great things for you next week. I will be attending a Halloween themed Chili Cook-Off which I am SUPER excited for. I love dressing up for Halloween I think it is a blast ๐ Btdubs, I got SNOW last night. Yes, snow. At my house. On the ground. Snow. They are predicting 8-10″ tomorrow. It is October! Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOVE snow. Like โฅ…

Lemon-Basil Martinis
Hello all! I hope your week is going well so far. Mine is going…a tad bit busy. And we definitely had an earthquake yesterday while I was at work. Weird for CT right?! That is what I thought. I am used to the tornadoes with being from the Midwest, not so much the earthquakes though. Seems like a lot of people felt it along the eastern seaboard. The guy I sit next to goes, “is the building shaking?”…haha yup! This is a drink that I stumbled upon one time at a restaurant and I wanted to try and replicate it. It definitely wasn’t as good as I had it in…

Blueberry Lynchburg Lemonade
Hello Hello! How are all my wonderful foodies doing?! I have been hardcore missing in action this week. This past weekend I did the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, 60 mile, walk for Breast Cancer in Boston and this week I have been taking vacation from work, a MUCH needed break from the norm. I didn’t go anywhere special, just hanging out with my mom and spending some quality time with her. ๐ The walk one of the most liberating experiences of my life and it was one of the hottest weekends in Boston on record! I didn’t mind the heat though, I was there because I wanted to support those…

Beer & Cake, yes please!
I know what you are thinking…”Raven, beer & cake? Those just really don’t go together!” ….. ^that is a cake plate btdubs. Just in case you were’a’wonderings. Oh, but they do! I promise you they do! Especially when the cake has nuts on it. I mean isn’t that the age old thing to do when you drink beer? Eat some nuts? Anyways…my guy is what you would call a beer man. He loooooves beer. Last year for Christmas I got him the “Beer of the Month” club, which is where Amazing Clubs sends you different beers each month (depending on how many months you purchase). They have all sorts of…

Lattitude
๐ I hope you all are having a great weekend so far! Tino’s birthday was a complete success…he loved the brownies and dinner was fantastic! Guess what?! He even won $100 from a scratch ticket that his Dad bought him, imagine that! So, I took Tino out to Latitude last night (see Birthday Brownies post to visit website). It was actually a really nice dinner. The restaurant was a modern place, very modern decor. It probably sat about 50 people in the main dining area and maybe 30 in the bar. Relatively a small place compared to most of the places that we have gone. Let’s start off with the…

Rainy Day
Welcome to Thursday in the Northeast: Yup that means rain, haha! My area is expecting to get around 9″ of rain in the next 12 hours. Which means flooding and really bad drivers on the commute home today. For some reason in New England people forget how to drive when there is the smallest bit of condensation on the road. That is one of those things that drives me nuts. Yes, I understand that the visibility is low, but is it really necessary to drive 35 miles UNDER the speed limit? Methinks, no. Anyways, it was so hard to get out of bed this morning. I am one of those…

CT Wine Trail
I had an absolutely fabulous weekend! The weather was gorgeous, I was celebrating my 2 year anniversary with my bf (9/11), my best friend turned 25 (Happy Birthday Chrissy!!), AND I went on the Connecticut Wine Trail. I didn’t want the weekend to end at all!!! We have had such HOT weather this summer that it was so nice to have a mild sunny day. I couldn’t have asked for a better day if I tried. Here is the Wine Trail below: If you click on it, it will take you to the website. The Wineries that my bf and I visited were the following: Hopkins Vineyard, New Preston CT…
