Muffins for Muffin Bake Sale
Please go over and check out the bake sale for Muffin at Pass the Sushi. It is a great cause for a puppy that totally deserves to be loved and take care of. Muffin is below, a sweet pit-bull that was abused and has a long road to recovery. Kita says she has a great personality and donating with this Bake Sale for her will help her get better since all the funds go to Muffin! There are TONS of things to pick from on Kita’s site, so many great treats. I donated my Chocolate Caramel Brownies: Go on over to Pass the Sushi and see all the goodies…

Dishversity Contest #giveaway
Hellloooo my dears! Are you ready for this post?! Get excited. I have teamed up with Dishversity as one of their first Food Bloggers to launch the site. What is Dishversity you say? Check out the video: Pretty cool right? I know a lot of my fellow food bloggers were upset when Foodbuzz changed their platform, because quite frankly the new Foodbuzz...stinks. This new website is a cross between Pinterest and Foodbuzz. It gives you the chance to see people’s photos but also to get the recipe and try it out yourself right from the website! The goal is to be more interactive with people when they try the recipe…

Blueberry Rolls
‘Tis the season for blueberries! Ah yes, b.e.a.utiful blueberries. I am lucky that I never have to purchase blueberries because my mom has about 20 blueberry bushes. Which means that if I want blueberries, there are most likely 14 bags of them in the freezer, some on the bushes, or some on the counter. Spoiled. I know. There are just so many things to do with blueberries though. Shakes, smoothies, muffins, scones, breads, salads, with meats, cakes, ice creams, or just as snacks you pop in your mouth. Blueberry muffins have to be one of my favorite things in the entire world. I remember coming home to the smell…

Cocoa-Caramel Bourbon Truffles
I have had an obsession with learning about Marilyn Monroe lately. For no particular reason, really. Some of you may have noticed towards the bottom of my page, I have Marilyn displayed. That’s because I find her quotes inspirational when I am down. However, in learning about her, I am intrigued by this woman… She was not the bimbo that the media made/makes her out to be. Marilyn was actually a very shy, intelligent, troubled and beautiful woman. I suppose I am so fascinated by her, because I see a lot of myself in her. As I honestly think most women could if they really looked. She loved and was…

Chocolate Caramel Brownies
What a weekend! Eclipse Dance Company was all over the place! Our big event, among others this weekend, was the International Festival of Arts and Ideas. We had a 30 minute piece that we put on for the festival and it went really well. 30 minutes of dancing straight through, btdubs. No stopping. Thirty.Minutes.Straight.Through. Whew! It was a warm day as well and the performance was on an outside stage, so it was interesting to say the least. With all of the extra rehearsals we have been pulling this month, 2 sometimes 3 times a week from 9pm-midnight. It has been a very tense and stressful month, but we made…

Pickled Jalapeño Deviled Eggs (Hellmann’s)
Received a Top 50 Award for my recipe for this contest! Thank you Hellmans! ******************************************************************************************************* Who loves deviled eggs in the summer? I do! I do! Deviled eggs is one of those thing that once Easter comes around, I feel like I should be eating all the time. Not to mention I just love eggs in general. Deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, egg salad, omelets….anything really and I am in when it comes to the incredible edible egg (I was not paid to say that 😉 ). I could literally eat like 12 deviled eggs in one sitting without even blinking. It is one of those comfort foods for me you…

Big Apple Barbecue Block Party in NYC
Are you ready for this post my fellow foodies? I was invited to attend the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party presented by Southern Living, Cooking Light, MyRecipes and RealSimple. It took place in NYC on June 8th & 9th in Madison Square Park. It was the 11th annual block party and it was so much fun! There were cooking classes, live performances, vendor tents with tools and foods, live demonstrations of cooking and cocktail ideas, and best of all BBQ all day long! I honestly had never heard of this event before, but I am so glad I have now. It is only about 2 hours from where I live…

Ahh yes the good things in life. However, they aren’t quite installed yet, but they will be. Am I the only foodie that gets super excited when new kitchen items show up? I am seriously like a kid in a candy store when it comes to kitchen utensils, appliances, tools etc. You know like…

{Guest Post} Organic Cupcakes by Rhiannon
Hello everyone! Today I am featuring a guest post by one of the ladies in my dance company named Rhiannon. I was always seeing her posting cupcakes on her Facebook page and I was like hey, why not make something for the blog! So enough about me, let’s get to Rhiannon! Sweet Organix: Taste Great…Less Harm! There are many people in the world who don’t believe that organic food is healthier than the preserved/processed food that we encounter today. People tend to think it lacks flavor. As believers and supporters of organic food, my husband and I try to educate others about the benefits without the lack of taste. Although,…

Ancho Chile Surf & Turf
Well hello! How are you all on this Wednesday morning? I am tiiirrreeedddd. Bikram kicked my butt and then I got up before 5am to do my morning work out, so I am draggin’ today. There was some serious storm moving through last night though, some tree branches and things were down on the raods this morning on the commute into work. My prayers are with the family and friends of those in the Midwest that had the storms come through and caused significant damage. Those big storms are so unexpected most of the time and cause so much damage, it is really scary. Stay safe everyone! In other brighter…

Smashed Roasting Potatoes
Whew! It’s Friday!! Thanks goodness too! This week has been sort of a weird one for me. Let me explain… On Tuesday, I started feeling a little strange towards the end of the day. Didn’t think much of it, my allergies have been bothering me quite a lot. I went and mowed at our pretty house because well, all the rain in New England made the weeds in my yard feel like they needed to grow about 4 feet. While I was mowing a cop drove up to our house asking me if I had seen anything suspicious because some suspects had been rummaging through mail on my street! #WHATTHEHELL??…

Baked Goat Cheese Salad
Good Monday Morning! How are you all doing? Did you have a good Mother’s day? -OR- Did you spoil your mama? I am on the later half of that. I am not a Mom myself so I spent Mother’s day trying to do my best to spoil my own. Every year my gift for my Mom is to buy her all her vegetable and herb plants for the year. We go to a spot that she has picked out that she really enjoys and she picks out anything and everything that she wants. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Not only does she get to have an amazing…
