Taco Cups
Yes, you saw it right. Taco Cups. Here is another great recipe for those football game days. It is always good to have bite size snacks for game days because if you are anything like me…you can’t focus on anything more than reaching for the food and then putting it in your mouth. Who needs a knife and fork on game days?! Not this girl! haha…not to mention if my team does anything good, and if I had anything more than a napkin in my lap?? Holy shmoley the carpet would be in trouble, haha π Now, that I have completely embarrassed myself by telling all of you that I…

Summer Bread
Ingredients for Bread: Loaf of Italian bread (can be a day old) 3-4 tomatoes 1 green bell pepper fresh mozzarella 6-7 basil leaves 2-3 cloves garlic Olive oil (2 tablespoons or so) Preheat oven to 350 Β° Now that summer is coming to a close this is what I am going to miss from the summer the most. My garden….there is absolutely nothing better to me that fresh produce from your garden. Everything tastes better, it even feels better making it when it comes from your own garden/home. This bread is something that I really enjoy and I make often during the summer because it is so tasty and just…

One of my favorites!
This is one of my most favorite recipes and it is quick, easy, and healthy! Roasted Tomatoes with Mozzarella! YUM! I went on a strange kick back when I was in college to go on a diet. I do believe my grandparents were having their 50th wedding anniversary in Florida…soooo, my mom and I decided that we needed to lose a couple of pounds each so that we looked our best. Well, we decided that the South Beach Diet was the way to go…. It definitely was NOT the way to go…at least not for me. I was so miserable on that diet…and I mean, m i s e r…

CheeseΒ Fritters
WE ARE…PENN STATE!! That’s right, the PSU season started yesterday 9/4. I bleed Blue & White and I have not missed a game since I started college back in 2003. While I was in school I attended every single football game my entire 4 years of school. I cannot make all the games now since I live in CT, but I try to make at least 2 games a season now, but I NEVER miss a game. I always watch PSU play when they have a game. I am a die-hard fan! π Whenever, PSU games are on that means there is going to be a lot of food. When…

Jalapeno Poppers
Football season is coming up again and that means that there is going to be lots of Sundays (and Saturdays if you are a college football fan) full of football, beer, good people, and FOOD! This is a recipe that is always one that my family has during football season. Very tasty, not as good for you as most of my recipes are…but sometimes it is OK to indulge. π Ingredients for Poppers: 7-8 Jalapenos 10-12oz low-fat cream cheese 1 cup cheddar cheese Chives 1 cup flour 2 eggs 1/4 cup of skim milk 2-3 cups vegetable oil This is the part that I was not able to photograph because…

Fruit at Work
Every Wednesday we have this thing called “Ice Cream Day” at work. This is an event that was created by our administrative assistants where all the employees are invited to go and get ice cream for a couple bucks (in a cone or in a bowl) in the afternoon.Β I am not sure how many of you have ever been in an ‘office’ setting…especially a corporate office setting, but whenever there is food around in the office people DEVOUR it! I am not talking like once in a while snacking. You put anything out in the office and people are like vultures, haha π Don’t get me wrong…I am a…

Too many Summer Tomatoes??
I don’t know about you, but I am elbow deep in tomatoes right now. I am sure most of you have seen my previous tomato posts. The tomato pie, the salsa, etc. Well…I completely forgot about one of my favorite things to have in the summer time with fresh juicy tomatoes…. BLTs! That’s right people, RavieNomNoms loves BLTs. The fresh tomato, lettuce, and crispy bacon…mmmmm, YUM! Can there be a more simple and satisfying delight?!? I think not! I do tend to adapt my BLTs just slightly as I do most things to make them slightly healthier than the original. I hope you enjoy my take on the classic BLT…

BBQ!
Can you believe that August is almost over?! I can’t!! This summer has absolutely FLOWN by me. I can’t believe that kids (in general, not my own haha) are going back to school and that in a few weeks the leaves will be changing on the trees! I love Fall though! I love, love, love it! I love the leaves and the cooler weather but not cold weather. We get some pretty cold winters here in the Northeast. I really think that I love Fall so much because of the feeling I get around that time of year. When I was younger, I was always getting ready to go back…

Chicken Wraps with Pesto Aoili
So, I left the blogging world there for a couple days…sorry my fellow bloggers! I am back…I just had such a rough week at work. Had one of those work weeks that makes you question what you do and why you work so hard. Was feeling kind of down on myself, but I am so glad it is Friday and that I get a few days off from work. Actually this weekend my parents are throwing a BBQ, which I am actually going to help my mom with ALL day tomorrow prepare for. So hopefully I will have lots of fun pictures for your viewing pleasure at the end of…

Opa-Opa!
(Just as a quick side note: I was unable to take any pictures of the sushi that I had on Thursday night with my supplier…not really one of those dinners that I could take out my camera and just randomly start taking shots, haha ;-). BUT, the sushi was amazing! I had salmon and tuna rolls mostly for the sushi…they were phenomenal.) This weekend my boyfriend took me to the Westfield Airshow. There were so many cool planes from different eras there. You could walk right up to the planes and actually go into some of them. They had different acts where the planes flew over the crowd and did…

What kind of Sushi do I want?
What an extremely busy week! Honestly…between, work, softball (we made the playoffs! woohoo! and won our game last night woohoooo!), working out, friends, animals, boyfriend, parents etc…I could go on forever, haha….it is hard to have time to cook. It really is! I enjoy cooking but sometimes I really have to almost “schedule” time to do it. At least it seems that way in the summer time for me. When it is winter and I don’t have as much going on it is much easier for me, but the summer is always hard for me to actually sit still in one spot and get something done, haha π I feel…

Guacamole
I love avocados! When I say “love” I mean L-O-V-E!! I took a trip to Mexico about a year ago with some friends and my boyfriend…I am not joking you when I say I ate guacamole or something with avocado in it at every meal! I adore it…I am one of those people who can just slice an avocado and eat it on bread…YUM! Or should I say NomNoms π Anyways, this weekend my boyfriend’s Mom invited us over to dinner. She was making beef burritos and I hate going to someone’s house without bringing something. So, I told her I would make some guacamole once I got there (and…
