    Funfetti Cake Pops

Happy day after Easter! Although it isn’t too happy for me…I am sick at home with the flu :-(. YUCK!! I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that I was stuffing my face with all sorts of glllorrrious sweets! I cannot tell you how much I missed having those sweet treats. I don’t eat a ton of horribly unhealthy things for me but when it comes to sweets. I just will not cannot control myself! I think it is because my mom has always made such amazing goodies ever since I can remember and now that I enjoy it so much, it was SO hard to…

    Bake Sale

Hello all!! I wanted to let you know about Becky’s online bake sale, if you haven’t heard about it already! Her bake sale proceeds are going to her Relay for Life effort to support the American Cancer Society. I think it is great that she is doing this! She graciously donated for my Breast Cancer Walk in July so when she asked me to be a baker in her bake sale, I was more than happy to join the cause and help out! The Bake Sale will be held on May 2nd. Each item has a minimum bid of $15. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free…

    Triple Berry Scones

Just wanted to let you all know that the big presentation went really well on Wednesday. The staff seemed to be really impressed overall which makes me really happy. A lot of really big names in my company in that meeting, which is always a good thing right? Getting noticed by the big boys on campus. 😉 The big show is this weekend for Eclipse! I am really excited about it! Jenn, the director, has done such a great job with building the choreography and the concept of the show. The show is based on the idea that people are so connected to technology that they sometimes lack real human…

    Pesto Gnocchi

Good rainy morning to you all! I have a big presentation this morning to the big man on campus here at work and all his staff so this is going to be a short and sweet intro. Need to prepare! I am not one of those people that really gets nervous when I present to a crowd, I think that may be because I am a dancer and have spent a lot of time on stage. Either way even though I don’t get nervous I do like to be prepared for the pack of wolves I am about to get up in front of, haha. This recipe that I am…

    Splendid Spiced Strawberry Muffins

Happy Monday The show for the dancing company I have been dancing with is coming up this Sunday so I might be slightly MIA here and there. Try and excuse my absence and general lack of focus this week. I promise I’ll be back to my Ravie Nom Noms self soon. We all know I have been on a muffin kick lately because of my giving up “desserts/sweets” for Lent. The following muffin was something I had been craving for some reason. Strawberries make me think of summer and since it is just now acting like it is spring outside, I wanted to make something that reminded me that summer…

    Chunky Cod Fish Fingers

::sings:: Give me that filet’o’fish, Give me that Fish! What if it were you, hanging up on this wall… If you all are wondering what the heck I am singing there, that would be the old Mcdonald’s filet of fish sandwich jingle that they played last year (or was it 2 years ago??), that used to get stuck in my head for daaaayyysss. If you don’t know what I am talking about, google that sh*t and I promise you the YouTube video will come up if you search “Filet’o’Fish”. I used to drive one of my coworkers crazy because I would sing it to him all the time haha, sorry…

    Garlic Fries

I have a love affair with garlic… We go together like peas and carrots, chocolate and peanut butter, lamb and tunafish! <—movie reference, I don’t really like lamb and tunafish together. Just want to make that clear haha. Seriously though, I have a really hard time not cooking with garlic. I am one of those people who can put a whole head of garlic into the oven, roast it, and then spread it on bread….YUMMMMMMIE! Or should I say NomNoms ;-). Or how about garlic and olive oil as a dipping sauce? ::kisses fingers:: MUAH! OR how about a fresh tomato salad with cucumber and garlic…. ::dreams of summer tomatoes::…

Hope you have a fabulous birthday and thanks for letting me have one of the strawberries off your cupcakes since I can’t have the actual cupcake 😉 Second off, great job this weekend T! You did so great in the alumni hockey game! Your goal was awesome! I hope I didn’t embarrass you too much with my loud cheering, hehe 😀 Thirdly, its peanut butter jelly time…..Consider these like a breakfast…

    Black Bean Quesadillas

What a day! I am so stressed out at work…I am really hoping that because I am so busy today that Friday will come sooner than I think it will! Seems forever away right now. Keeeep positive right?? Haha I have been doing really well on my “no sweets” for Lent goal. So far I haven’t caved at all, which I am really proud of! haha I really love desserts so this has been really hard for me. I think I miss making them more than I actually miss eating them. Is that weird? Anyways, I have been doing the whole no eating meat on Fridays which really doesn’t bother…
