Stuffed Banana Peppers
The garden is just bursting with vegetables right now and I am loving every single second. I have become SUCH a vegetable eater as I have gotten older. I just don’t have the desire anymore to have a big juicy steak. The last time I actually went for meat was when I was in Kansas City and I was going to Gates BBQ, where I stuffed my face like a fat kid with some pulled pork and baked beans…mmmm, nomnoms. Other than that… ::shrugs:: I think I could really live without it. I think it has something to do with the fact that the beef just doesn’t taste the same…

Spiced Blueberry Muffins
Alllmost Friday…alllmost Friday…I am so ready for the weekend. For 2 reasons really, 1. well, it is the weekend and who doesn’t love the weekend? 2. I will get to see my lion (Patrick)! Travel has kept us apart this week, and this week has suuuure been a long one. I have a feeling the weeks are going to get even longer too because one of my co-workers gave his 2 weeks notice on Monday so that means more work for me. Yikes! I feel like I am already running at full throttle… In other news, I get to see one of my best friends Tamara in 2 weeks! I…

Lemon-Basil Martinis
Hello all! I hope your week is going well so far. Mine is going…a tad bit busy. And we definitely had an earthquake yesterday while I was at work. Weird for CT right?! That is what I thought. I am used to the tornadoes with being from the Midwest, not so much the earthquakes though. Seems like a lot of people felt it along the eastern seaboard. The guy I sit next to goes, “is the building shaking?”…haha yup! This is a drink that I stumbled upon one time at a restaurant and I wanted to try and replicate it. It definitely wasn’t as good as I had it in…

Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookies
Another weekend has come and gone…the golf tournament last week went really well. My team and I had a fabulous time golfing. We certainly aren’t what you would call “golfers” but we definitely had fun and played some decent golf. Since I was the captain of the golf team I wanted to make sure that my team was equip with all the essentials. Music, booze, and cookies…hehe 😉 Personally, I was not a fan of how these cookies came out but everyone seemed to really enjoy them. I didn’t have any butter so I had to substitute Crisco in, which we all know changes the texture and flavor of the…

Tilapia with Pineapple Salsa
This week is supplier week at work, which means BUSY! Our company has all our suppliers come in this week for a trade show and then a golf tournament for fun and to also show our appreciation for them doing business with us. It makes for a very chaotic and choppy week. Interruptions and supplier dinners all week long haha. Needless to say, I am ready for the weekend already. Which will include MORE demo on my parents house… This past winter when there was so much snow in New England my parents ended up having a TON of water damage from the ice on the roof. So, they are…

This is my Kait and I….hehe. We are complete goofs and I love it. We are always doing something silly, saying something silly, or making other people do silly things. haha 😉 Kait and I met when we were both attending Penn State University as undergrads. We were both a part of the University Dance Company and that is where our friendship really began. Ever since then I have considered Kait to…

Fresh Blueberry Lemon Pops
What a crazy couple weeks! Things have been turned a bit upside down for me in the past month, which has made it a little difficult to keep up my blogging routine. I know my friend Jonny has been bugging me about it haha. I posted something last week and he immediately sends me a text, “holy crap, your blog made me soo f*ing hungry”. 😉 gotta love it! I feel like you have to embrace the cards that life deals for you though. Things have definitely not been turning out how I thought they would, but I am slowly learning that I just need follow my heart and I…

Blueberry Lynchburg Lemonade
Hello Hello! How are all my wonderful foodies doing?! I have been hardcore missing in action this week. This past weekend I did the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, 60 mile, walk for Breast Cancer in Boston and this week I have been taking vacation from work, a MUCH needed break from the norm. I didn’t go anywhere special, just hanging out with my mom and spending some quality time with her. 🙂 The walk one of the most liberating experiences of my life and it was one of the hottest weekends in Boston on record! I didn’t mind the heat though, I was there because I wanted to support those…

I seriously feel like I was just telling you all about the great event and how I need to raise money and now it is less than a week until I actually do it! Mind boggling people… I am so very excited for the walk though! It is such a great cause and I am so glad that I decided to take on this challenge. 60 miles in 3 days…whew! Going to be a challenge indeed! Not to mention the weather in…
