Spicy Asian Chicken and Noodle Soup
It is getting to be that time of year where all I want to do on the weekends is curl up with a good book, a blanket, and a bowl of soup and just lounge around. Fall is seriously my favorite time of year. I just love the cool brisk air and when the leaves that start to change. I have hoped ever since I was a little girl that I would be able to get married in the Fall. I am sure that me getting married is quite some time away right now, but a girl can dream. π This soup I am sharing with you today is a…

Pumpkin Coffee Cake
Ever have one of those recipes that has been used and used and used until it looks like this (see left)?? My Mom has this book she has been using since she was younger to make breads, muffins, cakes…all sorts of goodies that I enjoyed when I was growing up. It was called the “Quick Breads Cookbook” Β© 1975. How great is that? I was lucky enough this past weekend to have her share this book with me and let me use one of the recipes out of it to create a coffee cake that is just perfect for Fall. The first day of Fall was last week and I…

Traditional Fall Treat
I don’t know about you but when I was little one of the things that I REALLY looked forward to during the Fall was caramel apples. I remember coming home from school when my mom had made them fresh and it was like the best surprise in the world. Grabbing one of those gooey treats and biting into was just Fall to me. The real trick was trying not to get it all over myself. Somehow I always managed to get caramel in my hair…haha, sorry Mom. Although, I have to admit that kids with sticky fingers is one of the cutest things ever. They have no idea what to…

Thank you SO much everyone for the Top 9 on my Pan-Fried Tilapia with Tomato and Basil SautΓ© today! What an awesome notification to get in the morning when you don’t want to get up because you are comfy and warm in your bed haha. π Thank you! You guys are awesome! I have to admit that I am really excited because tomorrow… Why do you ask? Well, I am going to a dinner at Rosedale Farms with Patrick. It is a dinner that one of the restaurant groups in Hartford is sponsoring. There is tons of things that go on at these events including farm tours, wine tastings, and…

Pan-Fried Tilapia with Tomato Basil SautΓ©
I finally broke down…and joined Twitter. Haha…I have had people telling me for like ever and day to join Twitter, so I finally did it. I have NO idea what I am doing or what I need to do or really even how to post anything but I am sure I will find out shortly. If you want to follow me I have a link at the top of my page, right next to the Facebook and RSS feed button. I least know how to do that much! Haha or you can follow me by clicking on my Follow button on Foodbuzz. Like I said…I have NO idea what I…

Peach Blueberry Muffins
I am SO glad it is the weekend. What a week! I know I know…I say that ALL the time. But this week…really, what a frekkin’ week. Between SUPER DUPER stress at work from being gone from traveling and interviewing for positions and then getting in an accident. Just need a break! So I cannot tell you how happy I am that I am getting some much needed rest. So nice to be able to not do anything sometimes you know? This weekend will be full of football watching (Go PSU, Chiefs, and Steelers!) and baking I am sure. I have this recipe I want to try that I am…

Peach and Feta Chicken Pizza
Hello my foodie friends! How are you this Thursday morning?Β I am certainly doing better than I was yesterday. I dropped my car off at a shop to get repaired after my accident that I had this week. What a bummer! I am glad that my car will be getting fixed though. I pretty much love my car (2008 Ford Escape XLT V6, vroom vroom!) so having it get fixed is going to be the highlight of my week next week. It is always so hard to not have a car you know? I am lucky that I have an extra car that I can drive around. I had a…

Maple-Lemon Glazed Salmon with Feta Quinoa
I tell ya, when it rains it pours! I have been SO busy at work pretty much the entire year but this past month it has gotten exceptionally bad. With people leaving and new people starting in my group it has been really hard to get my usual day-to-day work done. On top of traveling for work and the workload I am just burnt out! To add to that…I got into a accident yesterday on my way home from the gym :-(…not fun at all!! Just goes to show how much I hate New England drivers haha. I am fine, a couple bumps and bruises and slight neck pain. The…

Chocolate Shortbread Cookies
What a week!! I just got back from traveling for work last night and I am SO exhausted. I went to West Virginia and Virginia to see some customers and try and tell them about my company’s new products. Let me tell you…I will NEVER go to West Virginia again unless I am forced. You need a passport to go down there! No lie, I thought I was stepping into the movie Deliverance. You know with the creepy kid playing the bango?? GAH! So weird haha. Sorry for anyone who lives in West Virigina, but man the place I was in I will never go back to haha. Good news…

Fruit and Oat Bars
I am off and running to Virginia and West Virginia this rainy week for work. Lots of customers to see and try to sell things to haha. It was soooooo nice to have a long weekend! I had a great time relaxing and visiting with friends. Thanks Nicole for the great Petro Labor Day Party! We missed you Mich! π Always good to have a long weekend, but it always feels like they go faster than the normal weekends. AmIRight? I am already looking forward to this weekend where I am going to Penn State to visit with Tamara and show Patrick around. Getting more and more excited about it…

Baked Egg in a Tomato Boat
I have power!! Finally have power in the house. Thank goodness! I cannot tell you how glad I am that it is back, but not for the reasons you might think. The not having electricity wasn’t what really bothered me…I mean yes, it was horrible that I couldn’t cook like I wanted to, but not having TV or the lights wasn’t really that big of a deal to me. Honestly, I hardly EVER turn on the TV anyways. My life is so busy most of the time that by the time I get home at night after work, dance, softball, kickball, the gym, various errands, etc. all I want to…

Rainbow Sprinkle Donuts
I did it!! People I did it! Finally, I have been talking for months and months to so many of you about how I wanted to make donuts and I finally did it! Thank goodness I made them before the hurricane came through my town though. We have been without power now for 3 days. Which means, no cooking and no showering :-(. My sweet lion was nice enough to let me come over and get a shower in yesterday…thank goodness for that! This is what it looked like on either end of the street I live on…trees are down everywhere in the Northeast. From the sounds of it, the…
