Lattitude
🙂
I hope you all are having a great weekend so far! Tino’s birthday was a complete success…he loved the brownies and dinner was fantastic! Guess what?! He even won $100 from a scratch ticket that his Dad bought him, imagine that!
So, I took Tino out to Latitude last night (see Birthday Brownies post to visit website). It was actually a really nice dinner. The restaurant was a modern place, very modern decor. It probably sat about 50 people in the main dining area and maybe 30 in the bar. Relatively a small place compared to most of the places that we have gone.
Let’s start off with the cocktails. Tino got himself a BBC Steel Rail (beer), one of his favorites and I got myself a Martini. What is that phrase? Go big or go home? haha 😉
(Absolute Berri Acai Vodka, Triple Sec, Lemonade, Chambord, and blueberries)
As for an appetizer…let me tell you…I was SO impressed with this appetizer. The waiter, who was fabulous by the way (his name was Chris), suggested that we get the Fried Brussel Sprouts. I’m sorry what? Fried Brussel Sprouts?? Chris says, “Listen, even if you don’t like Brussel Sprouts the sauce it comes with it worth it. It is so amazing you could dip cardboard in it”. You got it Chris! So…we tried the sprouts. WOW!
Chris was right, this dipping sauce was amazing! The sprouts were crispy but tender. I mean just Wow…I am not a big fan of Brussel Sprouts but this was so incredible. We ate the entire basket full, haha
So now onto the dinners…
Tino’s Dinner: Grilled Beef Tenderloin
(Seasoned Sea Salt, Patato Puree, Asparagus, Long Trail Unfiltered I.P.A Bérniase)
Raven’s Dinner: Filet Tournedoes and Shrimp
(Berkshire Blue Chipotle Brown Sauce, Sweet Onion Mashed White Sweet Potatoes, Garlicky Spinach)
Our dinners were really fantastic. Really great flavor combination in all the dishes. I was really impressed! The dinners ranged $20-$28, which is a little more on the high end for every day going out kind of food, but it really was worth it.
Dessert? Yes please!
Chris was nice enough to get Tino a candle for his birthday dessert. As for me?? I went with this…
We had a real great time and this place was really a good place to celebrate Tino’s Birthday! Have a good weekend everyone!

Happy Belated Birthday Tino 🙂 Looks like you two had a fantastic time. I’d love to try and recreate that chili aioli. Any idea what it had in it? Hope you’re having a great weekend! Kate @ kateiscooking

This restaurant looks great! And those brussels sprouts look delicious. I’m one of the 3 people in the world who LOVE brussels sprouts… it works out well because while i get scrunched up noses when i say that i love brussels sprouts, I never have to share them! Except maybe at Lattitude.
