Birthday Brownies!
Today is my boyfriend’s birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINO! The lucky duck took the day off from work today and is currently sleeping in as I type this post. I, however, am stuck at work until 11:30. Which isn’t too bad I guess haha 😉
Anyways, he requested for his birthday that I make him brownies. Considering I just made cupcakes for his friend’s wife’s birthday I think he was all set with on the cake front because he did a lot of the taste testing, hehe. So, since it is his birthday I thought I would humor him. There is nothing too exciting about these brownies…he picked out some brownies at the grocery store that he wanted, so these are just out of the box. They were the Ghirardelli Double Chocolate brownies with chocolate chips. Honestly, if you are going to make brownies from the box, I would highly recommend Ghirardelli. They are pretty good brownies!
Nothing too special about this icing. It is just a simple icing with a little blue color dye in it. (see cupcakes post for frosting recipe)
I am by NO means a cake decorator as you can see. But I wanted to make sure that these brownies were personalized for him because he is very special to me 🙂
Tonight I am taking him to a really nice restaurant called Latitude which is located in West Springfield, MA. Neither of us have been there before but I am really excited about it. I have the link below for you to check out the menu. It seems like a pretty nice place and I will for sure let you all know how it went. 
Later on tonight a whole bunch of Tino’s friends are going out because a few of the guys that he is good friends with all have October birthdays as well. So it will be a celebration of birthdays tonight! I hope you all have a great Friday and a fabulous weekend!

The Ghirardelli boxed mixes are the best… their chocolate chip cookies are the next best thing to homemade… i bet the brownies are great too!
