Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats
Hello my lovelies!
Has been a while since I have posted something, but life kind of got in the way.
I know you hear me out there.
I had some family issues pop up which made it very hard for me to get any kind of cooking done. I won’t give you the details since it won’t do anything but make you sad.
No need for that. Just if you get a spare moment, send a prayer towards my family if you can. We would gladly take all the prayers/positive thoughts we can get.
So it is Fall huh?
Finally my most favorite season is HERE. Lots of colorful leaves and cool mornings. I just love it. Makes me so happy.
Patrick and I have been vigorously working on the house, I know I haven’t had a house update on the blog for October yet and the end of October is quickly approaching (can you believe that?).
I will post something soon, I promise! We have new colors on the walls and crown molding going up. It is looking so good! I cannot wait until it is done and we can really enjoy it.
SO ready to have a beautiful house with the guy I love <3
This weekend I decided, since I didn’t have a lot of time I wanted to share something that was fun and easy to make but was still had all those yummy Fall flavors.
Quick = no bake
AmIright?!
I decided to make an adult version {flavor wise, no booze ;-)} of the classic Rice Krispie Treat. I mean who doesn’t love those? (I am sorry for any of you out there that don’t eat marshmallows for diet reasons – I don’t eat them very much either, trust me)
Decided to spice them up with some Fall flavors and BAM!
Lovely pumpkin spicy treats that are so hard to resist.
Btdubs, do any of you get the Cooking Light Magazine sent to you every month? They just sent their 25th anniversary magazine out and I cannot wait to try what is in there! Totally amazing
But first, let’s enjoy some treats.
Pumpkin Spice Treats Ingredients:
- 9 cups Rice Krispie Treat cereal
- 2 – 10 oz marshmallow packages
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
- 1 cup butter, salted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Halloween sprinkles
- 7-8Β bakers chocolate semi-sweet squares
- a tad (totally a measurement) of orange food coloring
Spray a 9 X 13″ glass baking pan with cooking spray or line with aluminum foil.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan until it is browned. Depending on the depth of the pan will determine how long this takes.
Add in the vanilla and pumpkin spice and stir. Add in the marshmallows until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in rice krispie cereal.
Add the mixture into the bowl and spread evenly. It is easiest to do this with your hands or a wooden spoon. Whatever you have handy.
Melt the chocolate slowly in the microwave. Best to melt in about 30 second chunks, that way you can stir and the chocolate won’t burn.
Evenly distribute sprinkles of choice on top.
Allow to cool completely before cutting.
This is totally unhealthy for you and not at all like my usual style baked good where I try to make it better for you. Once in a while you have to enjoy the yummies of life π
Ciao!

Perfect for the season! I was wondering how to make pumpkin rice krispies…. I thought I would have to add pumpkin puree… I don’t think that would have worked out too well. π LOL! I made rice krispies today myself… but they are not Halloween festive like these. π
Sending out some prayers and good vibes to you and your family!! Take care my friend. ~ Ramona
