Lemon Earl Grey Squares
Hello all!!
I am doing a guest post today over at Steph’s Bite by Bite while she is traveling. Go on over and check it out! I am sharing my Lemon Earl Grey Bars. A recipe I picked up from Cooking Light. Shocking I know 😉
I also wanted to give a shout out to my Daddy today! It is his 53rd birthday! He is the best darn Daddy a girl could as for and I am so grateful to have him in my life.
Ever since I can remember I have been what you might call a “Daddy’s girl”. I was always helping him with his work outside or helping him in his workshop when he was building things.
He is also my safety net. No matter what happens he is always the person that I go to when I have a problem or I need advice (on certain things, there are some things that you can only go to your mother for 😉 ).
He has the affect that if I am upset about anything, I can keep a tough front on until I see him and then I just start balling. Do you have someone in your life like that?
My Dad is truly one of the brightest people I have ever met and has accumulated some of the most random knowledge that I will never understand where he got it from.
He is one of those people that you always want around when you are playing trivia. He dominates! I cannot tell you how many times I have looked so dumbfounded when he says something and I’m saying/thinking, “how, what, er why do know that?!” …haha
He is also ridiculous when it comes to fixing things. He knows how to fix everything! Like everything! I am not even exaggerating. You give him something that is broken or isn’t working and he will literally have it fixed in less than an hour…
How come I didn’t get any of these genes???
He has been an absolute blessing my whole life and he has been awesome with the new house. Offering up really good advice and help when Patrick and I need it. Not that we are complete idiots, but your first house you aren’t always sure exactly what to do. I am lucky that I have my Daddy around to help (and also that he is willing to do so, hehe).

Happy Birthday to your dad!! I also have a dad who can fix anything…. In fact, I have a few projects lined up for him the next time I go home: sunglasses, car, etc. I’ve tried to learn, but I just don’t seem as talented in that way, so I prepare dinner while he’s busy fixing anything and everything.
