Celebrate with Cranberry Champagne
Christmas is just around the corner folks! I mean think about it. Christmas is 12 days (thanks Becci π ) from now. 12 days! Holy moly…I have just about everything done. I worked on my Christmas cards the other day, I just need to get them stamped and signed and sent. CHECK! Christmas gifts, except for a few here and there things are done and wrapped. CHECK!
Oh! Btdubs, I have a story for you all. My mom was telling me about going to the grocery store to get some things for her Christmas party she just had. As she was parking, she sat in her car a few minutes to send a text to my dad because she doesn’t like texting and driving (good girl!).
Now, what you have to realize about my mom is that she starts listening to Christmas music…right around, oooh I’d say about Halloween, give or take a day. She has always been that way, ever since I can remember. So naturally, as she travels the Christmas music must go with her.
Anyway, so she is texting my dad and as she gets out of the car, this elderly woman says to her, “if your Christmas music can be heard outside of your car then your music is TOO loud…you know some people don’t like Christmas music!”
Can you believe that?! What a scrooge! First off, it wasn’t like my mom was intentionally trying to anger this woman. Second off, it is a free country lady!! We live in the U.S. of A and people can listen to whatever they want in their cars as loud as they want! Sheesh…my poor mother had no idea what to do when she said that. I will just say that if it were me I would have have been as nice to that woman as my mom was. The nerve!!
On a lighter note, I promised you all that I had some news to share with you. Well I simply cannot hold it in any longer, I am just TOO excited…ready???
Patrick and I are moving in together!Β β₯
YAY! I cannot tell you how excited I am. He is quite possibly the most amazing guy I have ever come encounter with (apart from my Daddy, naturally!), and I am so happy that he and I started dating and are now deciding to move in together.
It will probably happen sometime in the February time frame of next year. However this weekend we are celebrating our 6 month anniversary in Boston. He was such a sweetheart and bought tickets to see the Nutcracker on the 17th with the Boston Ballet…those of you who know me or follow me, know that I am a dancer so I am SO excited to go see the ballet. It is one of my favorites!
I believe this calls for some celebration no?? This drink recipe I am sharing with you today isΒ SO simple and it is delicious.
Ingredients for Drink:
- Cranberry Juice (I used Diet, but use whatever tickles your fancy! You could even use cran-raspberry/apple/etc.)
- Sparkling Champagne
- Fresh raspberries
Fill your glass with champagne about 3/4ths of the way full and then fill the remaining area with cranberry juice. Drop a raspberry (or any fruit you like) in the glass and enjoy!
Easy right? People will be impressed with it. It is the simple things that people get impressed with π

Sad about that grumpy lady, but there are some people that just hate the holidays. Yet, I will not let them put a downer on my Christmas spirit!
Enjoy the day!
