Got PB?
Hello! I am back from Detroit! UGH, what a trip that was! Literally the day I left it was snowing once again in CT haha. What a winter we have had! They were canceling flights left and right at Bradley Airport, but for some reason the only flight that seemed to still be leaving was my Delta flight to Detroit, haha. Once I got to Detroit the weather wasn’t that bad at all. I was really surprised. Normally Detroit has much more snow than us by this time. They maybe had 6″ on the ground? and that was at most 6″…but not for long! While I was there, Detroit got hammered with a winter storm…why not?! The second day I was there it snowed all day long and caused for some pretty interesting driving conditions, *btdubs a big shout-out to my friend Jonny who did an awesome job at driving in the snow! Thanks for getting us everywhere safely :-).* Needless to say I am glad I am back home safe in CT…I really need to stop going to Detroit…
One of my favorite things to eat when I want to feel like I am home and safe is Peanut Butter. Who doesn’t love peanut butter? (if you have an allergy to peanuts and are reading this post, I am very sorry haha π ) I really don’t think I could live without peanut butter. I love crunchy, creamy, all natural, organic, any kind I am in love with. What better way is there to say “welcome home!” than my making yourself a peanut butter sandwich?
I decided that that was just exactly what I was going to do but I added one of my other things that I like to have WITH peanut butter. Banana!
I am such a weirdo sometimes I just like to take some peanut butter, cut up an apple into wedges and just dip the apple in peanut butter. YUM, what a great snack! Anyways, getting off topic here haha
Peanut butter is just one of those things for me, I could eat it on pretzels, fruit, HECK I think I could even dip some carrots in it and be completely happy. OK so maybe the carrot thing is a little much, but still…are you getting the picture? I am IN LOVE with peanut butter…put it in a cookie and forget about it!
Now, I am not a fan of white bread…never really have been but it was all I had to so that is what I used for my peanut butter and banana sandwich. If I had my way I would have been using some nice seven grain bread for this, ah well…next time π
I am definitely like to toast my bread when it comes to peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I like how the peanut butter gets a little melty (is that a word?) and seems to cement the sandwich together. I always, ALWAYS but peanut butter on both sides of the bread when I make the sandwich as well. I just can’t get enough of that peanut butter! hehe
Hope you all had a great week and have a great weekend as well! I am headed off to New Hampshire for a weekend of dance with my dance company. Wish me luck!

Winter has been really fierce for you New Englanders – my sister lives in Greenwich and we have family in Boston and upstate NY and I’m sure everyone is ready for a break! Glad you made it home safely. And you’re not a weirdo π My husband loves peanut butter and banana sandwiches and my daughter loves apple and peanut butter as a snack or for an even quicker snack – spoonfuls straight out of the jar! Have a great weekend Raven and good luck with your show!
RavieNomNoms
Haha, oh my goodness other people eat peanut butter straight from the jar too?? I am so glad to know that I am not alone in just grabbing spoonfuls of peanut butter from the jay! haha π Thanks Priscilla!

Good luck this weekend!! I’m glad you made it home safe. You know, I could handle being allergic to chocolate and I’m already allergic to milk. Take my peanut butter and you might as well take my smile away! I gotta have my PB!
RavieNomNoms
Thanks Dionne! I am right there with you lady! There is no way that I could go without peanut butter, if I was allergic it would be so tragic π

Winter has been pretty crazy this year π
It’s good to know you made it back home safely π
I eat this sandwich all the time…. It’s just the best! Have you ever tried peanut butter and bananain a croissant? It tastes yummy in that too.
RavieNomNoms
I haven’t tried that before! I bet it is amazing though! I will have to do that next time I make it, for sure π

Peanut butter is one of my comfort foods too…and your sandwich looks fantastic! I want one of my own π
RavieNomNoms
Definitely is a comfort food, it is funny how something so simple can be such a comfort food. Everyone always thinks of really hearty meals like fried chicken being comfort, but for me…just a jar of peanut butter will do π
A little bit of everything

I just want the storms to stop coming so frequently haha, I really love the snow but the storms are getting out of hand.
