Happy Holidays!

Hello All!! How are you doing?! Did you have a good Christmas?? I hope you did! I feel like I haven’t spoken to you all in ages! It has been so busy this holiday season with traveling and all.

I was so lucky this year to have Patrick take me to the Nutcracker in Boston with the Boston Ballet. It was SO much fun! I had a great time, it was so nice to see the ballet after so many years of not seeing it. It was a tradition in my family to go every year. When we moved to Philadelphia we were so disappointed with the ballet we saw a few years in a row that we stopped going so it was so nice to pick up that tradition again.

Patrick and I saw some really great places and ate at some wonderful restaurants while we were there. We stayed at the Marriott Long Wharf, which was gorgeous! The views and location were just perfect! If you ever are in Boston, I highly recommend the next 2 places to eat:

The Oyster House

The Chart House

I also went to St. Louis to visit with Patrick’s family. I have to admit I was a little nervous. He is very important to me, so naturally so is his family. They were all so sweet and welcoming to me! It was nice to meet some of his friends as well.

It was a whirlwind though! Holy moly, we were running around for 2 solid days just visiting with people. Not that it was a bad thing, but it wears you out! I was also lucky enough to meet up with my sister (Gina, not blood related but practically my sister in every way) while we were in town. SOOO good to see her! I miss her tons!

I flew back from St. Louis on the 23rd to come back to a airport that looked like an ant farm. I have never seen the Hartford airport so busy. I was amazed! Patrick stayed back in St. Louis to spend the holiday with his family. (he comes back tonight, I am so excited!)

Christmas was so lovely, just my folks and I. I love spending it with just them and this one was particularly special because I have a feeling it might be the last time I have a Christmas with my family while I am still living at home.

Patrick comes home tonight so we will be doing our Christmas present opening this week at some point. It is like 2 Christmas’ in a row…winning!

I am so sorry that I have been missing for the past couple weeks! I have been terrible about posting anything in general with all the traveling and I am sorry to report that I have no new recipe to share with you today but I wanted to let you all know that I haven’t forgotten about you!

I have seen all your wonderful posts and recipes for the holidays and I can’t wait to share some when I have the time to slow down and cook again haha.

This weekend I have a performance with my dance company happening up in Northampton. If any of you are in the CT/MA area, come check it out! We are performing at The Academy of Music during the First Night Northampton at 3pm. It should be a good show and there are tons of things to do during the day there. It’s a big celebration!

I hope you all are a having fantastic week thus far and if I don’t make it back on the blog before the New Year, I hope you all have a wonderful start to 2012!!
